39-06-31. Revocation of licenses.

1. A period of revocation is at least thirty days and not more than one year, unless
otherwise provided by law.
2. The director shall revoke for a period of one year or for a period as may be
recommended by the trial court, the operator's license of an individual upon receiving a
record of the individual's conviction of any of the following offenses:
a. A felony in which a motor vehicle was used in the commission of the felony.
b. A misdemeanor resulting from the operation of a motor vehicle and causing
serious bodily injury, as defined in section 12.1-01-04, to another individual.
c. The making of a false affidavit or statement under oath to the director under this
chapter or under any other law relating to the ownership or operation of motor
vehicles.
3. The revocation of the license under this section may be beyond any time of
imprisonment or court-ordered addiction treatment.
