§ 128-38.31. Administration of Death Benefit Plan.
(a)Provisions Applicable. - The Death Benefit Plan is administered by the Board of Trustees. The provisions of G.S. 128-28 and G.S. 128-29 are applicable to the Death Benefit Plan.
(b)Effect of Vote Related to Contributory Death Benefit. - No decision of the Board of Trustees related to the fully contributory death benefit for retirees provided for under this Part shall take effect unless and until this same decision has been made and voted on by the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System.
(c)Rulemaking. - The Board of Trustees may adopt temporary or permanent rules, as necessary, for all aspects of administration of this Part. (2025-11, ss. 4(a1), (d), (d1), 6(b).)
