85-1-214 . Exercise of department powers -- scope of jurisdiction. The department may exercise any of its powers in:
(1)an adjoining state, unless the exercise of that power is not permitted under the laws of that state or of the United States;
(2)a national forest or public domain of the United States adjoining or located in the state of Montana, unless the exercise of those powers is not permitted under the laws of the United States;
(3)an adjoining country, unless the exercise of those powers is not permitted under the laws of that country or of the United States or under the treaties between that country and the United States.
