7-3-4305 . Petition to organize under commission-manager form -- election required.
(1)Upon the filing of a petition with the city or town council, signed by at least 15% of the qualified electors of the municipality registered for the last general municipal election, proposing that the question of reorganization under this part and part 44 be submitted to the qualified electors of the municipality, the city or town council shall order an election to be held in accordance with Title 13, chapter 1, part 4. At the election, the question of reorganization of the municipality under the provisions of this part and part 44 must be submitted to the qualified electors of the municipality.
(2)The order of the city or town council must specify the time when the election will be held pursuant to 13-1-405 .
