5-11-206 . Index -- list.
(1)The legislative services division shall prepare a suitable index of all the laws and resolutions passed or adopted at each session of the legislature. The index must be a thorough index of the laws and resolutions and of each subject contained in or covered by the laws and resolutions, together with a cross-index to assist in readily finding any subject contained in each volume. A separate index must be prepared for appropriation bills passed by each session of the legislature.
(2)For the purpose of uniformity in indexes, the index of each succeeding publication of the session laws must conform as nearly as practicable with those of the volumes preceding it.
(3)There must also be prepared for each publication of the session laws a "code sections affected list" showing what sections of the Montana Code Annotated have been amended or repealed by any laws enacted by that session of the legislature.
