31-3-115 . Adverse information.
(1)Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares an investigative consumer report, adverse information in the consumer report, other than information that is a matter of public record, may not be included in a subsequent consumer report unless the adverse information has been verified in the process of making the subsequent consumer report.
(2)A consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft, pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2.
