§ 97-33-47. Lotteries; acting as agent for; applicability of section to games or lotteries authorized by Mississippi lottery law.

If any person shall act as agent for any lottery or lottery company, no matter where domiciled or located, or if he shall assume to so act as agent, or if he receive any money or other thing for any such lottery or lottery company, or deliver to any person any ticket or tickets, prize or prizes, or other thing from such lottery or lottery company, he shall, on conviction, be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), and be imprisoned in the county jail not less than three
(3)months nor more than six
(6)months.
This section shall not apply to the operation of any game or lottery authorized by Chapter 115, Title 27.
