§ 37-29-201. Hospitals, counties and municipalities may support nurse training programs.

The official boards of the various public supported hospitals of the State of Mississippi that conduct a nurses training program in connection with said hospitals are hereby empowered to contribute to a public supported junior college wherein said hospital is located in said junior college district for the support and maintenance of a nurses training program at said junior college. The board of supervisors of any county wherein there is a public hospital supported in whole or in part at county expense is hereby authorized and empowered to contribute to a nurses training program carried on and conducted thereat when said junior college district encompasses the county wherein the supervisors so contribute.
The governing board of any municipality in this state that supports in whole or in part a hospital is hereby authorized and empowered to contribute to such a nurses training program at the public supported junior college wherein the municipality is located within the junior college district.
Any public supported junior college operating or conducting a nurses training program is hereby authorized and empowered to accept donations from private hospitals or any other persons, firms or corporations for the support of a nurses training program.
