§ 37-113-19. Agricultural extension services.

The State of Mississippi by its legislature assents to and accepts the provisions and requirements of an act entitled “An act to provide for the further development of agricultural extension work between the agricultural colleges in the several states receiving the benefits of the act entitled ‘An act donating public lands of the several counties and territories which may provide colleges for the benefit of agriculture and the mechanical arts,’ approved July 2, 1862, and all acts supplementary thereto, and the United States Department of Agriculture,” approved by the President on the 22nd day of May, 1928.
The board of trustees of state institutions of higher learning, on behalf of the Mississippi State University of Agriculture and Applied Science, is authorized and empowered to receive the grants of money appropriated under said act and to organize and conduct agricultural extension work, which shall be carried on in connection with the said university in accordance with the terms and conditions expressed in the said act of congress.
