95.155. Bonds issued, when, terms. — Upon the result of the submission of the question being certified to the council, board of aldermen or trustees, as the case may be, if the proposition to incur or increase such indebtedness be assented to by the constitutionally required percentage of the voters voting on the proposition, the council, board of aldermen or trustees, as the case may be, may, by ordinance or resolution, declare the result of the submission of the question and cause bonds of such municipality to be issued, not exceeding the amount authorized, and in denominations of not less than one hundred dollars, or some multiple thereof, payable in not more than twenty years from the date they bear, bearing interest from date at a rate not exceeding the rate per annum authorized by law.
All such bonds shall be signed by the mayor of the city, or chairman of the board of trustees of the town or village, as the case may be, attested by the signature of the clerk, and each bond shall have impressed thereon the corporate seal of the municipality. In the event that the charter under which a municipality may be operating makes no provision for the office of mayor, such bonds shall be signed by the presiding officer of the governing body of such municipality. In the event that the charter under which a municipality may be operating makes no provision for the office of clerk, such bonds shall be attested by the officer designated by the charter as the custodian of the seal of the municipality.
