320.368. Enforcement procedures — authorization to examine records. — To enforce the provisions of sections 320.350 to 320.374 , the state attorney general and the department are authorized to examine only the books, papers, invoices, and other business records pertaining to the sale and receipt of any type of cigarettes suspected of failing to conform to the fire safety requirements of sections 320.350 to 320.374 of any person in possession or control of any premises where such cigarettes are placed, stored, sold, or offered for sale, as well as the stock of such cigarettes on the premises.
Every person in the possession or control of any premises where cigarettes are placed, sold, or offered for sale is directed and required to give the state attorney general and the department the opportunity for the examinations authorized by this section.
