265.460. Operation without license or selling adulterated or misbranded meat, penalty. — Any person who shall operate a commercial plant without a license, or sell or offer for sale any adulterated or misbranded meat or meat product is guilty of a misdemeanor. Upon conviction of a first violation he shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars or by confinement in the county jail for not more than one year or by both such fine and confinement.
Persons found guilty of subsequent offenses shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than five hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars or by confinement in the county jail for not more than one year or by both such fine and confinement.
