243.340. Privilege to pay drainage tax in full. — The owner of any land or other property taxed for the construction of any improvement under the provisions of this chapter, shall have the privilege of paying such tax to the county treasurer at any time on or before a date to be fixed by the county commission prior to the issuance of bonds payable from said taxes and the amount to be paid shall be the full amount of the tax levied, less any amount added thereto to meet interest.
He shall present the treasurer's receipt therefor to the county clerk, who shall enter upon the drainage tax record opposite each tract for which payment is made the words "paid in full" and such tax shall be deemed satisfied.
