City or city-county library may contract for cooperative service. — Any city library board or any city-county library board may contract for cooperative service with the body having control of a city library or school library or a county or other public library or any other library within the state under such terms or conditions as may be stated in the contract and the body having control of any library in the state may contract with city, city-county, county or public library in the state.
