167.278. Chief school officers to provide information on postsecondary financial assistance. — The superintendent of schools or other chief school officer of each local public school district and the chief school officer of any nonpublic school shall make available to pupils and their parents information about the various types of financial assistance available to pursue a postsecondary education at a degree-granting institution. The commissioner of higher education shall assist such efforts by making available to schools and pupils information relating to such programs and assistance.
In addition, the commissioner in cooperation with the state board of education shall provide such other information as is appropriate to encourage pupils to complete high school and to assist pupils in preparing to enter a postsecondary degree program.
