64B.23 EXEMPTIONS.
§
Subdivision 1. Application of chapter.
Except as herein provided, the societies shall be governed exclusively by this chapter and shall be exempt from all provisions of the insurance laws of this state, not only in governmental relations with the state, but for every other purpose, and no law hereafter passed shall apply to them unless they be expressly designated therein.

Subd. 2. Domestic and foreign societies.
All provisions of this chapter, except as otherwise provided, shall be taken and construed as applying to both domestic and foreign societies.
§
Subd. 3. Application of certain sections.
The provisions of sections 61A.39 to 61A.50 shall not apply to fraternal benefit societies nor shall anything therein be construed as governing or in any way regulating these societies.
