103A.43 WATER ASSESSMENTS AND REPORTS.
(a)The Environmental Quality Board shall consolidate the assessments required in paragraphs
(b)and
(c)with the policy report in section 103A.204 and submit a single report to the house of representatives and senate committees with jurisdiction over the environment, natural resources, and agriculture and the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources by September 15, 2010, and every five years thereafter.
(b)The Pollution Control Agency and the Department of Agriculture shall provide an assessment and analysis of water quality, groundwater degradation trends, and efforts to reduce, prevent, minimize, and eliminate degradation of water. The assessment and analysis must include an analysis of relevant monitoring data.
(c)The Department of Natural Resources shall provide an assessment and analysis of the quantity of surface water and groundwater in the state and the availability of water to meet the state's needs.
