457.635 Chartered subordinate commandery; incorporation; evidence of existence and incorporation.
Sec. 5.
Any subordinate commandery now chartered, or which may hereafter be chartered, by the supreme commandery of the United Friends of Michigan, may become incorporated and a body corporate and politic, by passing, by a 2/3 vote of all the members present, at any regular meeting of such subordinate commandery, a like resolution, as provided in section 1 of this act, executing similar articles of association, under the hands of its commander, secretary and trustee, and the seal of the commandery, and appending thereto the affidavit of its secretary, setting forth the official character of the several officers, that said resolution was passed at a regular meeting, and received the affirmative vote of 2/3 of all the members present and filing the same with the corporation and securities bureau of the department of commerce and causing such articles of association and said affidavit to be recorded in a book to be kept for that purpose, and a copy of said articles of association duly certified by the corporation and securities bureau of the department of commerce, shall be prima facie evidence in all the courts of this state, of the existence and incorporation of such subordinate commandery.
