453.53 State agricultural society; annual report to legislature, contents.
Sec. 3.
It shall be the duty of the Michigan state agricultural society to transmit to the president of the senate, for the use of the legislature, in the month of January, annually, a report and statement of its proceedings, specifying the nature of the encouragement proposed by it, and the object for which, and persons to whom, premiums have been awarded; embracing also such accurate details of the modes of cultivation, of keeping stock, and of other important incidents, as will acquaint farmers and others with the precise manner in which the valuable results recorded can be again obtained; and presenting such other matter as the society may judge most useful in promoting a greater and more general progress in practical agriculture.
