388.713 Determination of emergency; hearing.
Sec. 3.
Upon receipt of the petition, the state committee shall conduct, or cause to be conducted, an impartial study to determine if an emergency exists. Within 20 days following publication of the results of the study, a member of the state committee, or the secretary designated by the committee, shall hold a hearing in the district. Notice of the time and place of the hearing shall be given the voters of the district and the superintendent of the intermediate school district to which the district is constituent.
