388.1606b Enrollment of nonresident pupil; counting pupil in membership; adjustment of educating district's pupil count.
Sec. 6b.
(1)A district enrolling a nonresident pupil with the approval of the pupil's district of residence may count the pupil in membership in a school year if the approval of the pupil's district of residence is received before the end of that school year.
(2)If the approval described in subsection
(1)is received by the educating district at any time before the end of its school year, the department shall adjust the educating district's pupil count for the pupil membership count day or the supplemental count day of that school year, or both as necessary to ensure that the pupil is counted in membership in the educating district for those pupil counts for which the pupil was enrolled and in attendance.
