35.1275 Poster of services available to veterans; employer posting requirements.
Sec. 5.
(1)An employer shall display a poster at the employer's place of business, in a conspicuous place accessible to the employer's employees, that includes, but is not limited to, information related to all of the following services that are available to veterans:
(a)The telephone number and website for the department of military and veterans affairs.
(b)Mental health and substance abuse services.
(c)Education, workforce, or job training resources.
(d)Tax benefits.
(e)Obtaining a veteran designation on a driver license issued under section 310 of the Michigan vehicle code, 1949 PA 300, MCL 257.310, or on an official state personal identification card issued under section 2 of 1972 PA 222, MCL 28.292.
(f)Eligibility for unemployment benefits under the Michigan employment security act, 1936 (Ex Sess) PA 1, MCL 421.1 to 421.75, or federal law.
(g)Legal services.
(h)The telephone number and website for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
(i)The telephone number for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs' veterans crisis line.
(2)The department of labor and economic opportunity shall work with the department of military and veterans affairs to create and make available free of charge to employers the poster that contains the information required under subsection
(1)for the employers' use in complying with this section. In addition, the department of labor and economic opportunity and the department of military and veterans affairs shall make the poster described in this section available in a downloadable format on the website of each department.
