324.21505 Legislative findings.
Sec. 21505.
The legislature finds that releases from underground storage tanks are a significant cause of contamination of the natural resources, water resources, and groundwater in this state. The purpose of this part and of the authority created by this part is to preserve and protect the water resources of the state and to prevent, abate, or control the pollution of water resources and groundwater, to protect and preserve the public health, safety, and welfare, and to assist in the financing of corrective actions due to releases from refined petroleum underground storage tank systems.
