287.827 Pseudorabies and swine brucellosis control and eradication fund.
Sec. 27.
There is created within the department of treasury a pseudorabies and swine brucellosis control and eradication fund which shall be administered by the director. Fees assessed and collected pursuant to this act shall be remitted to the state treasury for credit to the pseudorabies and swine brucellosis control and eradication fund. Money in the pseudorabies and swine brucellosis control and eradication fund shall be used for the control, eradication, and surveillance of pseudorabies and swine brucellosis as determined by the director, with advice from the pseudorabies advisory committee.
The pseudorabies and swine brucellosis control and eradication fund shall consist of money appropriated by the legislature and gifts, grants, fees, and charges from any source. A fee for the testing of swine for pseudorabies and brucellosis shall be determined by the commission of agriculture. Money placed into this fund shall not revert to the general fund and shall be carried forward in the fund from year to year.
