256.562 Meetings; time, place, and purpose; conducting business at public meeting; notice.
Sec. 2.
(1)The commission shall hold meetings not less than once during each calendar month, at the places as it determines, to consult and cooperate with all departments of state government in regard to traffic safety; to promote uniform and effective programs of safety on streets and highways; to interchange information among the several departments of the state government for more effective safety conditions; to cooperate with officials of the United States government and with local governments in regulating highway traffic; and to encourage safety education in this state.
(2)The business which the commission may perform shall be conducted at a public meeting of the commission held in compliance with Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of 1976, being sections 15.261 to 15.275 of the Michigan Compiled Laws. Public notice of the time, date, and place of the meeting shall be given in the manner required by Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of 1976.
