254.29 Bridge over race; expense, collection.
Sec. 29.
The expense so incurred may be recovered by such commissioner or commissioners in an action of assumpsit, or, at the option of said commissioner or commissioners, may be certified to the clerk of the township in which such mill or water works are situated and, when so certified, shall be assessed upon any property of such owner, owners, occupiers or possessors situated in such township and collected in the same manner as other taxes are assessed and collected.
