§21–506.
(a)This section applies to a former member, retiree, or a beneficiary of a deceased former member or retiree of a State system who:
(1)is entitled to a refund of accumulated contributions and has made no claim for those contributions; or
(2)is currently eligible to receive a vested allowance and has not filed an application for the vested allowance.
(b)Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State Retirement Agency may post the names of the individuals described in subsection
(a)of this section and the names of the last participating employer of the former members or retirees on the State Retirement Agency’s website or otherwise publish the names of the individuals and employers for the purpose of notifying the individuals that they have unclaimed money held by the State Retirement Agency.
