§12–807.
(a)An elevator unit may not be operated in a building, structure, or place of employment in the State unless a certificate is issued by the Commissioner.
(b)Notwithstanding subsection
(a)of this section, the Commissioner shall accept certificates of inspection from a political subdivision or municipal corporation instead of the certificate required by subsection
(a)of this section.
