§4–222.
(a)The Department shall develop a mobile application for use by an individual while on the waters of the State.
(b)The purpose of the mobile application developed under this section is to use interactive maps to aid an individual who is on the waters of the State in determining the individual’s location, in real time, relative to:
(1)Aquaculture leases;
(2)Demonstration leases;
(3)Registered pound net sites;
(4)Natural oyster bars;
(5)Oyster sanctuaries;
(6)Public shellfish fishery areas;
(7)SAV Protection Zones;
(8)Yates bars; or
(9)Any other areas that the Department deems relevant.
(c)The Department may contract with a third party to develop the mobile application required under this section.
