§22–112.
(a)This section applies to any official or body authorized to issue a license or permit.
(1)In this subsection, “residential zone” means any area in the regional district that is designated on a zoning map as residential.
(2)Except as provided in paragraph
(3)of this subsection, an official or body may not issue a license or permit for a commercial or industrial purpose or to conduct any commercial or industrial enterprise or business in a residential zone.
(3)Paragraph
(2)of this subsection does not apply if the purpose, enterprise, or business is allowed by an applicable zoning law under allowed uses or special exceptions granted by a board of appeals.
