§6–409.
(a)In this part the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b)“Administering agency” means an entity that the Department approves in accordance with § 6-414 of this subtitle to administer the Program at the county level.
(1)“Emergency food provider” means a nonprofit organization or an organization operated by a local government that provides food at no charge to needy individuals.
(2)“Emergency food provider” includes:
(i)a soup kitchen; and
(ii)a food pantry.
(d)“Program” means the Maryland Emergency Food Program.
