§1–701.
(a)In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b)“Active service member” has the meaning stated in § 9–901 of the State Government Article.
(1)“Eligible spouse” means the spouse of an active service member or eligible veteran.
(2)“Eligible spouse” includes a surviving spouse of:
(i)An eligible veteran; or
(ii)An active service member who died within 1 year before the date on which the application for a license, certificate, or registration is submitted.
(1)“Eligible veteran” means a veteran who was discharged from active duty within 1 year before the date on which the application for a license, certificate, or registration is submitted.
(2)“Eligible veteran” does not include a veteran who has been discharged from active duty for more than 1 year before the application for a license, certificate, or registration is submitted.
(e)“Health occupations board” means a board authorized to issue a license, certificate, or registration under this article.
