§9–2506.
(a)In accordance with the requirements of a producer responsibility organization, as established in an approved producer responsibility plan on file with the Department, and any other requirement adopted by the Department, a service provider may request reimbursement from a producer responsibility organization for costs associated with collecting, transporting, and processing covered materials that are identified under the plan, including costs associated with recycling services for covered entities.
(1)If multiple producer responsibility organizations register approved producer responsibility plans with the Department in accordance with this subtitle, the producer responsibility organizations shall coordinate reimbursement requested under this section.
(2)Multiple producer responsibility organizations may establish a third–party entity to coordinate reimbursement in accordance with this subsection.
(c)This section does not authorize a service provider to request reimbursement from a producer responsibility organization for costs associated with composting materials that are not covered materials, including food waste and other organic materials.
