§11–801.
(a)In this section, “weekend incarcerated individual” means an incarcerated individual sentenced to a local correctional facility for nonconsecutive periods of 48 hours or less per week.
(b)The governing body of a county may impose on and collect from a weekend incarcerated individual a reasonable fee in an amount not to exceed the average cost of providing food, lodging, and clothing for an incarcerated individual for the time the incarcerated individual is confined in the local correctional facility.
(c)If the governing body of a county imposes a fee under this section, the governing body shall adopt standard procedures to implement this section, including a procedure for the waiver of a part or all of the fee based on the ability of an incarcerated individual to pay the fee.
