Section 28: Application of sections 28 to 28P; venue

Section 28.
(a)Sections 28 to 28P, inclusive, shall apply to nonmarital and marital children. This section shall not apply to the birth of a child conceived by sexual intercourse or assisted reproduction under section 27.
(b)Venue for proceedings under sections 28 to 28P, inclusive, shall be in the county in which:
(i)the child resides, is born or pursuant to a surrogacy agreement is expected to be born;
(ii)a parent or intended parent of the child resides;
(iii)a person acting as a surrogate resides; or
(iv)a proceeding has been commenced for administration of the estate of a person who is or may be a parent under this chapter.
