Section 29. The provisions of this chapter shall be applicable on or after January first, nineteen hundred and fifty-one to all non-profit hospital service corporations heretofore or hereafter formed, except as otherwise herein provided and except that as to existing corporations those provisions of section two relating to the composition of the board of directors shall take effect as of the next annual meeting of any such corporation.
