Section 84D: Funeral and burial benefits for veterans

Section 84D. Every licensed funeral director, or their agent or servant, before an agreement as to the price of the merchandise and service is made, shall:
(i)make available to all potential clients information regarding funeral and burial benefits for veterans pursuant to sections 7 and 8 of chapter 115; and
(ii)give or cause to be given to a client, a written statement verifying that the funeral director, or their agent or servant, made such information available to the potential client. The written statement pursuant to clause
(ii)shall be signed by the funeral director, or their agent or servant, and the potential client before an agreement as to the price of the merchandise and service is made.
