Section 50. Towns may establish and maintain dental, medical and health clinics, and in connection therewith may conduct campaigns of general education relative to matters of public health. Acting through their respective boards of health, they may unite and co-operate for the foregoing purposes and may provide for the maintenance of clinics as aforesaid in one or more of the towns so uniting.
All appropriations made for the purposes of this section shall be expended under the direction of the local board of health, and clinics established hereunder shall be conducted subject to such rules and regulations as said board may establish.
