Section 32F. Whoever obtains custody of any motor vehicle or trailer operated under any system referred to in section thirty-two C from any lessor by any trick or by any fraudulent or false representation, or by the giving of any bad or worthless check or any false token or writing, or by the false impersonation of another, or leases such a vehicle with intent to defraud the lessor, or whoever violates any provision of sections thirty-two C to thirty-two E, inclusive, shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty-five nor more than two hundred and fifty dollars, or by imprisonment for not less than thirty days nor more than six months, or both.
Refusal to pay the proper charge for the use of any such vehicle or the giving of a bad or worthless check in payment of such a charge shall be prima facie evidence of such intent to defraud.
