Section 11A. The department of education shall provide special education to school aged children with a disability who are incarcerated in county houses of correction. Notwithstanding chapter 66A or any other general or special law to the contrary, the department of elementary and secondary education and each of the county houses of correction may share with each other, school districts and educational service providers, personal data of individuals incarcerated in county houses of correction, to facilitate prompt access to special education services for individuals incarcerated in county houses of correction.
