Section 41: Application of sections relating to compensation for enginemen and fire department employees

Section 41. The three preceding sections shall be in force only in those towns which adopt the same by vote of their city council or at their annual town meeting, or which have so adopted corresponding provisions of earlier laws. If such adoption is revoked by the city council or by the town at an annual meeting, said sections shall cease to be in force.
