Section 4. There shall be an advisory council to the commission. The council shall advise on the overall operation and policy of the commission. The council shall be chosen by the executive director and shall reflect a broad distribution of diverse perspectives on the health care system, including health care professionals, educational institutions, consumer representatives, medical device manufacturers, representatives of the biotechnology industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, pharmacy benefit managers, providers, provider organizations, labor organizations and public and private payers.
