Section 15FFFFFF. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the month of May as Asian American Pacific Islander Month, in recognition of the significant contributions Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have made to the commonwealth and to the United States, and recommending that the month be observed in an appropriate manner by the people. After consultation with Asian American and Pacific Islander groups, the governor may recognize in the proclamation such contributions as the governor shall see fit.
