Section 18. The center shall perform ongoing analysis of data it receives under sections 6, 9 and 10 to identify any payers, providers or provider organizations whose increase in health status adjusted total medical expense is considered excessive and who threaten the ability of the state to meet the health care cost growth benchmark established by the health care finance and policy commission under section 10 of chapter 6D. The center shall confidentially provide a list of the payers, providers and provider organizations to the health policy commission such that the authority may pursue further action under section 10 of chapter 6D.
