§699.6. Firearm and hunter education exemption
The provisions of R.S. 56:699.5 shall not apply to any active or veteran member of the United States armed services or to any POST-certified law enforcement officer or to any individual with current POST-certification. The commission may adopt rules to implement this Section including rules regarding evidence of such service. Application for the exemption authorized in this Section shall be filed in person at the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries main office building in the city of Baton Rouge, or at any other location designated by the department.
