§439. Staking off or bedding oysters on unleased water bottoms
No person shall stake off the water bottoms enumerated in this Subpart, or bed oysters on the water bottom without previously leasing the same from the department, and then only after payment of the rental and fees provided in this Subpart. However, for emergency purposes in the matter of the preservation of a cargo, the oyster fisherman may temporarily bed his cargo on unleased bottoms and stake it off.
