RS 48:856
§856. Title to expropriated property; no obligation to take; security may be required from parish
No parish is under any obligation to accept and pay for any property condemned or any costs incidental to any expropriation proceedings and shall not pay these except from funds provided by this Sub-part. In any such proceedings, the court may make any orders which are just to the parish and to the owners of the property to be expropriated or condemned and may require an undertaking or other security to secure owners against any loss or damage which might be sustained by reason of the failure of the parish to accept and pay for the property.
However, this security shall impose no liability upon the parish except such as may be paid from the funds provided under the authority of this Sub-part.
