§576. Notice of formation
Notice of the formation of the district shall be published in a newspaper published in the parish. If there is none, the notice shall be posted in two public places in the parish and published in a newspaper published in an adjoining parish. One publication is sufficient. If the parish governing authority, at the time it determines to create the district, also decides to submit to the qualified property taxpaying voters the question of incurring debt and issuing bonds of the district under the general laws of Louisiana, notice of the formation of the district and a description of the boundaries thereof may be included in the notice of election, in lieu of the above method.
The notice of election shall be published in the manner prescribed by the general laws in relation to incurring debt and issuing bonds.
