§2202. Authorization for matching funds
The Department of Transportation and Development is authorized to grant matching funds in an amount not to exceed twenty percent for capital acquisitions authorized by the appropriate provisions of the federal Urban Mass Transportation Act, 1 as amended, and the regulations adopted pursuant thereto, to eligible applicants. Such grants shall be awarded only to qualified and approved applicants who have met all approved criteria established by the federal Urban Mass Transit Administration and Department of Transportation and Development.
The secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development is authorized to enter contractual grant agreements with the federal Urban Mass Transportation Administration and eligible private nonprofit organizations.
