§1112.1. Service on a civil service commission; recusal
Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 42:1111(C)(2)(d), a licensed attorney who serves as a member of a civil service commission and any legal entity in which he exercises control or owns an interest may receive a thing of economic value for or in consideration of legal services rendered or to be rendered to a classified employee under the jurisdiction of the civil service commission if the legal services rendered or to be rendered do not involve a matter that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the civil service commission.
Such a civil service commission member shall recuse himself from participating in any matter before the civil service commission involving any classified employee to whom he or any legal entity in which he exercises control or owns an interest is rendering legal services.
